If you are someone who loves colors and rainbows, join with other campers during this exploration-based class in which we will work together to create rainbows with various materials.

Balloon Games (Danny Tom) Balloons are fun! Campers will have such a great time playing an endless array of games that will engage them both physically and mentally. We will work on hand eye coordination, working with a team, and making up our own balloon games!

Session 2

Block B: 1:30-2:30: (Full Day Fours Only)

Under the Sea (Danielle Staropoli) Using Leo Lionni’s Swimmy as a guide, we will explore the movement of water and the many different movements of underwater creatures. Through our water action words: wave, ripple, splash, and whirl, we will explore slow motion, inversions, and still shapes. From floating like jellyfish to diving like dolphins, campers will use their imagination along with props to navigate the waves of the water.

Scrape Painting (Andy Webber) There are many ways to paint without brushes. You can pour paint, or use a roller to spread it, or use a scraper to drag paint across paper. Campers will explore how colors mix and layer by using scraping, rolling and pouring. This is a tactile and physical way to paint. Campers will experiment and play with paint.

Make a Mess! (Vanessa Uribe) “Hands-on learning” takes on a whole new meaning as campers get messy, and engage with art using all of their senses. Campers will create fun and exciting works of art through sensory experiences! Campers will enjoy using new and exciting materials, and engage in activities that flex their creativity and expression. We will learn through tactile play to enhance brain development, problem solving skills, and fine motor skills. Sensory art also makes art accessible to folks who may have visual impairments!
